Eat This, Not That 2011
Written by admin on July 26, 2011 – 3:05 pm -
I purchased my first Eat This, Not That book a few years ago. It has been a helpful guide when choosing what to eat at a particular restaurant. Now, the publishers have realized a new version – Eat This, Not That 2011. This newest version is being touted as a no-diet weight loss solution. Now you will know what choices to make on foods you eat everyday.
Did you know that McDonald’s BigMac is a much better choice than the Angus Deluxe which has 750 calories and 39g of fat? You will also discover which protein bars are the best, the best choice in bread and which frozen chicken entree to choose. Included in the book are the 10 foods that you should be eating everyday (one of them is almonds). What are the foods to avoid? Eat This, Not That will outline the 20 foods you should avoid (including Wendy’s Triple Baconator which as 1,350 calories and 90g of fat!).
When you order Eat This, Not That directly from the publisher, you will receive free shipping and a FREE book – Cook This, Not That, a $19.99 value. You only pay $19.99 for the book!

Blueberries – Great Antioxidant Fruit
Written by admin on July 26, 2011 – 9:10 am -
According to a study by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), blueberries rank number one in antioxidant activity compared to 40 other fresh fruits and vegetables. Following blueberries on the list is Concord Grapes (with two thirds of the antioxidant activity of blueberries), strawberries, kale and spinach.
Why are antioxidants important?
Antioxidants are a group of minerals, vitamins and enzymes that provided positive health effects for your body. Antioxidants can help fight free radicals (atoms which cause damage to the cells) which can lead to cancer or other harmful degenerative diseases.
Dark Blue in Color
The pigment that makes blueberries that rich blue color is called anthocyanins. Anthocyanins are antioxidants – the deeper the color of the fruit, the more anthocyanins it contains.
Fitness Magazine has put together a bunch of blueberry recipes for you to enjoy. My favorite is the Blueberry Tart with Walnut Crust. Yum!

Eat Stop Eat – Diet Review
Written by admin on July 23, 2011 – 9:28 am -
Is fasting harmful in the diet process, or can fasting actually help you lose weight? According to Brad Pilon, a nutritionist who works in the weight loss industry, a diet plan that includes fasting combined with weight training will help you lose weight faster and it will NOT harm your health. Brad’s diet plan is called Eat Stop Eat and he states that the belief that fasting has a negative effect on metabolism is incorrect. In fact, fasting for a short period can have positive dieting effects.
Brad just came out with a new expanded version of Eat Stop Eat. There are two plans available one for women and one for men. Many diet plans today tell you that you must continually eat to lose weight. Brad’s plan includes limiting fasting that he believes breaks the cycle of addiction to food. According to his website, short term fasting actually INCREASES the activity of fat burning enzymes.
Do you want more information? Brad is offering a FREE WORKOUT – “Elimination Workout” – just by sending him your name and email address.
